Maple Park, a year serving local communities and families.
The Crematorium at Maple Park is proud to have completed its first year serving the community.
Since opening its doors one year ago, the crematorium has become a trusted and respected provider and delivered over 750 services for families in Hambleton and the surrounding areas.
The multi-million-pound, Hambleton District Council led development opened on 28 March last year.
The 22-acre site which features a revolutionary electric cremator to reduce emissions and therefore the area’s carbon footprint, includes a service hall to accommodate around 120 mourners, with additional room for standing. It also includes a wake facility and café with views out over the Hambleton Hills. The site also offers a memorial garden, meadows and a wooded area making it a calm and peaceful place for reflection or for scattering ashes. A digital book of remembrance - the first in North Yorkshire - is also available, enabling families to create, edit and publish final messages for their loved ones.
The team at Maple Park are dedicated to providing the highest level of care and support to families during their time of need. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide a peaceful and comfortable environment for families to say goodbye to their loved ones.
“Maple park was created to serve our local community, decrease travel time for family and friends to attend funerals and create a bright, uplifting space that allows the time families need to say goodbye to their loved one and support them through some of the most difficult times. Throughout the past year Maple Park has proudly supported hundreds of families through their bereavement proving this is an invaluable facility within the local area.” said Pippa O’Brien, Crematorium Business Manager.
“You can book an appointment with one of our friendly team who will show you around the facility and answer any questions you may have, to ensure a fitting goodbye to your loved one.”
